HOW IT HAPPENED
Newberry scored in each of the first two innings to take an early 2-0 lead. However,
Jude Littrell led off the top of the third with a triple and scored on an RBI groundout from
Elliot Sanders to get the Fleet on the board and within a run. But, the hosts scored four times in the bottom half, as the Fleet trailed 6-1 after three innings.
Jorge Pascual launched a leadoff blast to open the fourth, his second home run of the season, but the Fleet could not slow down the Wolves throughout the night, as the hosts followed with three more runs in the bottom half of the fourth and tacked on some more runs in the final few innings as well.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine returns home for a non-conference weekend series against a new program, Georgian Court University, beginning with doubleheader on Friday at 11 a.m.
