DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine Athletics department officially announced the return of Thomas Holland as its Assistant Athletic Director and NCAA Compliance Director, Director of Athletics Mark Peeler announced earlier this month.

Holland comes back to the Fleet family after having spent over 20 years with Erskine in various roles from Director of Baseball Operations to Associate Athletic Director for Media Relations and External Affairs. Since his departure from Erskine in 2020, Holland has spent time in the Newberry, and most recently, Lander Athletics departments.

"Losing Rebecca Magee was a huge blow to our athletic department. Rebecca was an amazing member of our staff for so many years. The loss of Rebecca on our staff has been softened by the return of Thomas Holland," Peeler said. "Thomas served Fleet Athletics in many different capacities for many years before leaving to work at Newberry and Lander. We welcome him back with open arms and are grateful and excited that he is back where he belong as part of the Fleet Way."

Holland rejoins Erskine after spending the past three and a half years with Lander University, as the Associate Athletic Director for External Relations. Holland served Lander in various roles and helped lead the Sports Information staff to the 2022-23 Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Staff of the Year award. He was also responsible for maintaining the athletic website as well as the department's social media, where he grew their social media presence to the second most total followers in NCAA Division II Southeast Region for non-football departments.

During his first stint with Erskine, Holland worked with Sports Information as well, along with serving as a liaison for the coaching staff with the financial aid, admissions, and registrar's offices, and overseeing the financial aid packages for student-athletes.

Holland's work in the Flying Fleet's athletic department will help Erskine continue to comply with NCAA rules and regulations.
