DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (1-0) defeated Toccoa Falls College (2-7) by a score of 86-48 at Belk Arena on Wednesday evening in the Fleet's season opener.
Erskine outscored the Screaming Eagles 28 to 8 in the 4th quarter and 11 different Fleet players scored in a dominant season-opening win.
Albany Wilson's 29 points led the Fleet, while
Ahrianna Scott and
Haley Jones each added 13 points, and
Kaela Ward (11 points, 10 rebounds) posted a double-double in her first game as a member of the Fleet.
The Fleet's 86 points are the most by an Erskine team since the 2018-19 season.

THE PLAYER
Albany Wilson started her senior season with a high, posting career-bests in points (29) and steals (7). Wilson also added eight rebounds and was a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. Tuesday marked Wilson's sixth career game of 20 or more points.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 37% (32-87) from the field and 24% (8-34) from the three-point line, as well as 74% (14-19) from the free throw line. The Fleet dominated on the glass, totaling 64 rebounds, including 23 offensive boards, and forced 29 turnovers, which Erskine turned into 24 points.
