HOW IT HAPPENED
Erskine controlled play in the first half, outshooting King 5 to 2, but were unable to find a breakthrough, which meant the game was scoreless at the half. In the second half, the hosts found more attacking opportunities and a 66th-minute goal gave the Tornado the lead. The Fleet responded well after the goal, registering two shots on target in the ensuing three minutes but both were saved and Erskine could not find an equalizer, marking the first time in 2025 the Fleet have been held off the score sheet.
THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot narrowly by King,12 to 11, including a 5 to 3 advantage in shots on target in what was an evenly contested affair.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine hopes to bounce back with a road visit to Shorter University (0-8, 0-5 CC) on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. The Fleet had five different goalscorers in a dominant 6-0 win against the Hawks in Due West last month.
