HOW IT HAPPENED
After constant rainfall in the Due West area through the early parts of the week forced the game to be moved from Tuesday to Wednesday and shifted to a turf facility in Anderson, the Fleet started bright in the opening 15 minutes but the game remained scoreless. Young Harris took control after the opening stage of the first half, finding the game's first goal via an own goal in the 17th minute. The Mountain Lions added three more goals in an eight-minute span to put the Fleet in a 4-0 deficit at the break before scoring twice more in the second half of a cold, rainy divisional contest on Wednesday.
THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot by Young Harris, 21 to 6, and the Patriots had an 11 to 3 advantage in shots on target.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine wraps up the regular season at home against Belmont Abbey College (5-4-6, 3-3-6 CC) on Friday at 3:30 p.m. for Senior Day.
