HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: North Greenville 9-0 Erskine (Final / 5 innings)
Beginning a six-game home stand with a divisional matchup against North Greenville, Game 1 looked to be a pitchers' duel for awhile. Erskine starter
Kaylee Odum matched NGU with zeroes through the first four frames. But, the Crusaders eventually broke through and posted a nine-spot in the fifth, and after the Fleet were held off the board in the bottom half, the game ended due to a run rule.
Game 2: North Greenville 17-0 Erskine (Final / 5 innings)
NGU built off the offensive momentum it found in the last inning of the opener and started Game 2 with an eight-run second inning and never looked back as the Fleet were unable to keep up with the Crusaders in the back half of the doubleheader.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine is back in action for another home doubleheader on Friday afternoon against Chowan University (6-29, 2-18 CC) at 1 p.m.
