GREENVILLE, S.C. – Joey Tindale was named the Men's Track & Field Conference Carolinas Track Athlete of the Week for the week of March 18-25, 2024.

A sophomore from Rock Hill, South Carolina, Tindale won the 5000 meters at the Lee University Invitational over the weekend. He finished in a school record time of 14:47.05, which is also the fastest 5000 meter time in Conference Carolinas this season.

This comes a week after Tindale won the 10K event at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational with a time of 30:43.22. That is also the top time in Conference Carolinas and the region this season. Additionally, Tindale broke the school record in the event by more than two minutes.

Tindale and the Fleet compete in the GottaRun Invite, hosted by Southern Wesleyan University, this Friday.
