SWANNANOA, N.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (4-18, 1-13 CC) defeated Warren Wilson College (1-23) by a score of 81-61 at Devries Athletic Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.
Erskine outscored the Owls 29-4 in the first quarter and never looked back for a convincing road win.

Shanece Mitchell had a team-high 15 points to go with eight rebounds to lead the way for the Fleet. The senior guard was an efficient 7-for-11 from the field and also added a pair of assists along with three steals.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 50% (31-62) from the field and 33% (6-18) from the three-point line, as well as 72% (13-18) from the free throw line. The Fleet also had a season-high 15 assists as a team, with six different Erskine players tallying an assist in the win.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
Erskine returns to conference play this weekend to wrap up a lengthy road trip, as the Fleet travel to Chowan University (10-8, 10-4 CC) on Saturday at 2 p.m. Chowan escaped with a four-point win in Due West in these teams' previous meeting back in early January.
