SWANNANOA, N.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (5-18, 0-14 CC) defeated Warren Wilson College (3-21) by a score of 64-50 at Devries Athletic Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
The Fleet defense was stifling in the first half, holding the Owls to just 13 points at the break. Offensively,
Corey Gaines and
Max Peeler combined for 28 points to carry the load.

Max Peeler had a game-high 17 points on five made three-pointers to lead the Fleet offense. Peeler also grabbed three rebounds and added a steal in the road victory.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 41% (24-59) from the field and 27% (8-30) from the three-point line. The Fleet dominated the interior, outrebounding the Owls 43 to 34. including 14 offensive rebounds as well as 30 points in the paint.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
Erskine wraps up its final road trip of the regular season with a conference contest at Chowan University (15-8, 9-5 CC) on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Hawks edged the Fleet, 71-67, in Due West back in early January.
