PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (1-3, 0-1 CC ) was defeated by No. 22 UNC Pembroke (5-1, 1-0 CC) by a score of 73-60 at the English E. Jones Center on Saturday in the Fleet's conference opener.

THE TEAM
Erskine shot 34% (21-61) from the field and 27% (6-22) from the three-point line, as well as 75% (12-16) from the free throw line. The Fleet totaled just six steals and forced only 13 turnovers, which was the difference in the game.

Erskine has its home conference opener against North Greenville University (0-6) on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
