- After NGU opened the scoring, the Fleet responded with a seven-play drive capped by a 21-yard rushing touchdown from QB Craig Pender to tie the game.
- Trailing 20-7 in the second quarter, Pender connected with Rodshaun Dorsey for a 12-yard touchdown to make it a one-possession game again.
- On the ensuing drive, the Fleet defense forced a three-and-out, and then Quincy Bias blocked the NGU punt and recovered it the endzone to give Erskine a 21-20 lead.
- The hosts responded right before the half to regain their lead and outscored Erskine 13-0 in the third quarter.
- Midway through the fourth quarter, a big play from Pender to Taeshaun Sellers set up a Rashad Luckey 1-yard touchdown.
- The Fleet recovered the ensuing onside kick, and then Pender connected with Taylor Rhodes for another huge pass play, before Dorsey scored his second touchdown of the game to make it 45-35 with still 5:30 remaining.
