BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (3-13, 1-8 CC) was defeated by King University (2-17, 1-8 CC) by a score of 62-53 at the Student Complex Center on Wednesday evening.

Despite the loss, senior guard
Anzya Cook scored a team-high 18 points on an efficient 7-for-10 shooting, including three made threes. Cook made all five of her two-point attempts, while also adding three rebounds, two assists, and a pair of steals.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 30% (20-67) from the field, and 30% (7-24) from the three-point line, but the Fleet were just 38% (6-16) from the free throw line. Erskine won the rebounding battle, 44 to 39, but the Tornado scored 24 points off turnovers.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
Erskine finally returns home this weekend, but another tall test awaits the Fleet as they welcome Francis Marion University (12-5, 7-1 CC) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
