BELMONT, N.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (3-12, 0-8 CC) was defeated by Belmont Abbey College (6-12, 5-4 CC) by a score of 77-54 at the Wheeler Center on Saturday afternoon.

Erskine shot just 31% (19-62) from the field, and 29% (8-28) from the three-point line, and were 62% (8-13) from the free throw line. Erskine won the turnover battle, 14 to 8, but were undone by 16 made threes from the Crusaders.

Erskine wraps up its four-game road trip at King University (3-12, 0-7 CC) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. The Fleet and Tornado have had extremely competitive games in recent years, with each of their last three meetings all being decided by five points or less.
