DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College men's volleyball team (2-1) defeated Benedict College (0-1) in straight sets at Belk Arena on Friday evening.

Edgerrin Austin totaled 10 kills in the match, eclipsing the 1,000 career kills milestone as the Fleet dominated the Tigers from start to finish.

Edgerrin Austin, as he joined a short list of Erskine student-athletes to cross the 1,000 career kills plateau. Austin finished the night tied for the team lead in kills (10), while also adding 7 digs and a block in the victory.

Erskine hit an unbelievable .478 (39 K / 7 E / 67 TA) for the match, and having equally as stifling as defense, totaling 6 blocks and limiting Benedict to a -.016 hitting percentage.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
Erskine has a quick turnaround as they are back in action on Saturday at Queens University (2-3) at 4 p.m. This will be the first meeting between the Fleet and the Royals since 2018.
