GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Erskine College men's volleyball team (1-0) defeated Tusculum University (0-1) in straight sets at Pioneer Arena on Wednesday evening in the 2024 season opener for the Fleet.
Erskine got a match-high 14 kills from
Edgerrin Austin, helping the Fleet hit .291 as a team as
Francisco Pomar (38 assists) ran the offense to a commanding road win.

Edgerrin Austin led the Fleet hitters with a match-high 14 kills on an efficient .391 hitting percentage. The reigning All-Conference Carolinas 2nd Team performer also added four digs to lead the Fleet to a season-opening victory.

Erskine has its home opener this weekend, starting a three-match home stand against Edward Waters University on Friday night at 7 p.m. These two teams met twice in 2022, with each team winning on its home court, including a four-set win for the Fleet in Due West in the last meeting.
