AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Erskine College men's golf team began their 2023 fall season in the Bearcat Fall Invitational over the past two days.
Laurenz Meifels led the Fleet individually at two-over 146 (69-77), finishing in in the top 50. As a team, Erskine finished in 16th place over two rounds at Forest Hills Golf Club.

BEARCAT FALL INVITATIONAL
- The 36-hole event, hosted by Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga. is a two-day tournament.
- The course played to a par of 72.
- The field consists of 18 teams along with 10 individuals, for a total of 100 participants.

THE FIELD
North Georgia claimed the title with a 22-under par performance overall, cruising to a nine-stroke victory over Columbus State. UNG's Ethan Day also won the individual title, leading the Nighthawks with an eight-under par scorecard and edging out a three-way tie for second place by one stroke.

The Fleet continue their fall season next week in the University of North Georgia Fall Invitational on September 18 and 19 in Gainesville, Ga.
