Allen enters his 16th year with the Flying Fleet Golf Program. Before Erskine, Allen was the Head Golf Professional at Hunter’s Creek Golf & CC from 1997-2007. There he oversaw all club tournaments, membership and the junior golf program. Allen also participated in the South Carolina PGA Section as a Class A PGA Professional.
While at Erskine, Allen’s teams have been ranked as high as #5 nationally in the NCAA Division 2 Golf rankings. In 2013 and 2014 the Erskine men’s team competed in the NCAA Regional tournament and in 2014 they won the Conference Carolinas Men’s Golf Championship. In 2014 Allen was named the Coach of the Year in Conference Carolinas for both the men and the women. In 2018 and 2019 the men’s team won the NCCAA National Championship while the women’s team finished 2nd in 2018.
Allen has also coached multiple Conference Carolinas individual champions, freshman of the years, all conference selections, and in 2020 and 2021 coached two-time All-American Alberto Dominguez. In his career Allen’s teams have won more than 20 team titles.
Allen lives in Greenwood, SC with is wife Tonya and they have two children, Evans and Randi Brooke.
