HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: UNC Pembroke 5-4 Erskine
Despite weather delaying the start of the second game of the series, Erskine seemed ready to go as
Dale Francis, Jr. and Jude Litrell each had RBI singles in the first inning to give the Fleet an early 2-0 lead. Pembroke got on the board in the second, and the game settled in after that with the Fleet holding a 2-1 lead. Then, in the fifth inning, Erskine regained its two-run lead on an
Ashby Smith RBI double. UNCP answered with a run of their own in the bottom half, so the Fleet went into the seventh and final inning leading by a run.
Armando Becerra provided some insurance for Erskine in the top of the seventh with a solo home run, but it was not enough as the Braves scored three times in the bottom half to win, 5-4.

Game 2: UNC Pembroke 19-1 Erskine
In the rubber match of the series, UNC Pembroke controlled the game from start to finish. The hosts scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back.
Jaden James scored the lone run of the nightcap for the Fleet in the sixth inning.
THE PLAYER
Armando Becerra scored three of the four Erskine runs atop the Fleet order in Game 1 of the day. Becerra also launched a solo home run in the seventh inning, his seventh big fly of the year.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine returns home to take on Newberry College (27-5, 11-2 SAC) on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in a make-up game from earlier this season.
