DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's lacrosse team (2-1, 0-1 CC) defeated by Alliance University (0-7) by a score of 19-3 at Huggins Field on Saturday afternoon. Eight different players tallied a goal or assist for the Fleet, led by six points from
Korenza Heath and five from
Anna Ferrebee.
Heath led the way offensively with five goals, just ahead of Ferrebee's total of four.
Kristie Fisher added three goals and an assist, and
Julia Richey,
Aleiza Manns, and
Shelby Kincannon all totaled two goals for Erskine.
Jenna Varner found the back of the net in the fourth quarter and added a pair of assists as well.Â
THE PLAYER
Korenza Heath led the Fleet with five goals, while also adding an assist, three ground balls, and causing two turnovers.
THE TEAM
Erskine outshot Alliance 28 to 13 and forced 18 turnovers in the game.
WHAT'S NEXT
Erskine is back at home in non-conference action on Tuesday to take on Colorado State University Pueblo (0-4, 0-2 RMAC) at Huggins Field at 5 p.m.
