ALBANY, Ga. – The Erskine College men's golf team began their 2023 spring season at the Hurricane Invitational, hosted by Flagler College and Georgia Southwestern State University, over the past two days. The Fleet finished in 13th place as a team in the event.

HURRICANE INVITATIONAL
- The 54-hole event, hosted by Doublegate Country Club in Albany, Ga. is a two-day tournament.
- The course played to a par of 72.
- The field consists of 17Â teams and 89Â participants.

King University (299-296-294=889 - 12th)
North Greenville University (305-305-315=925Â - 17th)
THE FIELD
North Georgia won the event with a 14-under par performance as a team, beating Nova Southeastern by five strokes. Anderson's Reece Coleman won the individual portion of the event, posting a 7-under par performance and edging Tampa's Jonty Marshall and North Georgia's Evan Thompson by one stroke.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Fleet are back in action next week, as they compete in the Bearcat Classic, hosted by Lander University, on Monday, March 6 and Tuesday, March 7.
