GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (1-5, 0-1 CC) was defeated by Lander University (6-2) by a score of 64-47 at Finis Horne Arena on Tuesday evening.

Despite the loss, junior
Janelle Carter filled up the stat sheet, finishing with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and a pair of steals on an efficient 6-11 shooting from the field.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 37% (20-54) from the field as well as 39% (5-13) from three-point range. The Fleet were just 33% (2-6) from the free throw line, and fell victim to Lander shooting 58% from the field in the first half.

Following a grueling four-match road stretch, the Fleet return home for their next games, starting Thursday against Lees-McRae College (1-4, 0-1 CC) at 2 p.m. The Fleet have won 3 straight against the Bobcats, including a 53-44 win in Due West in January of last season.
