DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's volleyball team (6-19, 3-9 CC) defeated Converse University (7-15, 6-5 CC) in five sets at Belk Arena on Tuesday evening. Erskine cruised through the first two sets in dominant fashion and finished strong in a narrow fifth set to earn the home victory.

Erskine hit just .092 (42 K / 27 E / 163 TA) for the match, but were plus-3 in blocks against Converse, who leads Conference Carolinas in that category, and held the Valkyries to an .088 hitting percentage.

Erskine wraps up this three-match home stretch against divisional foe, Emmanuel University (14-10, 9-3 CC), on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Lions swept the Fleet in Franklin Springs late last month.
