DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's volleyball team (2-7, 0-1 CC) began Conference Carolinas play against Converse University (2-5, 1-0 CC), falling in five sets, 3-2 (11-25, 25-23, 12-25, 25-20, 15-13) at Belk Arena on Wednesday night. After cruising to wins in sets 1 and 3, Converse forced a fifth set and took an early lead that they extended to 14-9. Erskine rattled off four straight match points to stay alive but couldn't win the fifth match point as Converse escaped with a road win.
