THE MATCH
In both teams' first conference match of the 2022 season, it was the visitors who jumped out to an early lead on a headed goal from Emilio Rangel just 75 seconds into the match. Shortly after kick-off following the Lions' early goal, the game went into a lightning delay. The match did not resume for 2 hours and 37 minutes, but Emmanuel wasted no time doubling their lead following the lengthy delay. A goal from Alexander Panner in the 11th-minute made it a 2-0 game, and despite the Fleet outshooting the Lions 5 to 3 in the first half, Erskine trailed 2-0 at the break. Panner found the back of the net again in the 71st-minute to finish off Emmanuel's 3-0 win.
THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot 12 to 8, and Emmanuel held a narrow 6 to 5 advantage in shots on target.
