MORROW, GA. – The Erskine College men's soccer team (0-1) began their 2022 campaign with a 6-0 loss against Clayton State (1-0) on Friday evening at Laker Field.

THE MATCH
The Fleet began their 2022 season with a tall test against a very talented Clayton State team, and the hosts found a breakthrough in the 15th minute to take the lead. Less than three minutes later, the Lakers added another goal and never looked back as they were on their way to a 6-0 win over the Fleet.

THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot 25 to 3, and Clayton State totaled 10 shots on target to Erskine's two. 
 
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Flying Fleet continue non-conference play against Georgia schools to begin their season as they take on the University of North Georgia (0-1) in their home opener next Saturday, September 3 at 5:00 p.m.The Fleet and Nighthawks have split two meetings all-time with UNG picking up a 2-1 win over Erskine last season.
