HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: Erskine 14-11 Southern Wesleyan

After both teams went quietly in the first inning, the Fleet threw a heavy opening punch in the second inning. Joseph Quintana opened the scoring with an RBI double and was followed by run-scoring singles from Gregory Sanders and Armando Becerra before Dalton Boyd's RBI groundout capped a five-run frame for the Fleet. SWU battled back with a pair of runs in the third inning, but they were canceled out thanks to a wild pitch and an RBI single from Christian Rivera to make it a 7-2 Erskine lead after four innings. The Warriors scored again in the fifth inning and twice in the sixth as they clawed back to make it a 7-5 game. But, RBIs from Chase Crouch and Sanders in the bottom of the seventh doubled the Fleet lead. Then, Erskine ended the weekend with an explosive eighth inning to take a commanding lead. Dontae Wade got the scoring started with a two-run single and was followed by another Quintana RBI double. Another run-scoring hit from Crouch and an RBI from Sanders finished off another five-run frame for the Fleet and gave them a comfortable 14-5 lead. But, the Warriors refused to go quietly in the ninth, scoring six times in the inning and had the go-ahead run at the plate but a strikeout by Daniel Vos put SWU away for good as Erskine won the series finale, 14-11.

THE PLAYER
On his senior day, outfielder Gregory Sanders was 3-for-4 at the plate with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored to lead the Fleet offense.
