DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College Football program officially announced its schedule for the upcoming 2022 season on Sunday evening. The Fleet will play 10 regular season games, beginning with a road game at Kentucky State University on September 3rd before South Atlantic Conference play makes up the remainder of the season.
Starting in 2022, the Flying Fleet will compete in conference play and have an opportunity to play in a conference championship game for the first time ever as an associate member of the South Atlantic Conference. Erskine will play against nine members of the SAC, including its home opener against Lenoir-Rhyne University on September 17.
Erskine will have two opportunities to test themselves against the best teams in Division II early on as Lenoir Rhyne and Newberry College, Erskine's opponent the following week, finished the 2021 season ranked in D2 Football's Top 25 poll.
Toward the end of the schedule, the Fleet will have Senior Day on November 5 against Emory & Henry before closing out the regular season a week later on the road against fellow new SAC associate member, Barton College.
