HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1: Mount Olive 4-2 Erskine
Erskine starter Kaley Ingle was outstanding through her first four innings in the circle, allowing just one hit and holding a potent Mount Olive offense off the board. But, the Erskine bats were held in check and the Trojans eventually found a breakthrough, taking a lead on an RBI double in the fifth before adding three runs in the sixth inning to take a 4-0 lead. But, the Fleet refused to go quietly in their final at-bat as Maddie Ingram was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning before Kenzie Eagleman drew a walk. A few batters later Aly Salois was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to get Erskine on the board and threatening for more. Katie Hunter followed by drawing a bases loaded walk, which scored another run, but the Fleet stranded the tying and go-ahead runs on base as their valiant seventh-inning rally fell just short as Mount Olive escaped with a 4-2 win.

GAME 2: Mount Olive 6-1 Erskine
The Trojans offense wasted no time getting an early lead in Game 2 as they scored in each of their first four innings at the plate to take a commanding 6-0 lead. Peyton Rabon launched a solo home run in the sixth inning to get Erskine on the board but it was too little, too late for Erskine as Mount Olive took the back half of the doubleheader with a 6-1 win.

THE PLAYER
Peyton Rabon had just one hit, but it was a solo home run in the sixth inning of Game 2, the freshman catcher's second big fly of the season.
