HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1: Coker 6-2 Erskine (Final / 8 innings)
Kelci Brown got the start for the Fleet and held the Coker offense in check, allowing just two runs through her first seven innings of work, but was outdone by Coker starter Callie Thornton through the first few innings. But, with the Cobras leading 2-0 going into the bottom of the sixth, the Fleet offense finally broke through. Brown led off with a single and two batters later,
Shi Cain continued her monster weekend at the plate with a game-tying two-run home run that gave the Fleet new life. Both teams went quietly in the seventh inning, sending Erskine to its second extra inning game of the weekend. Coker scored four times in their half of the eighth while the Fleet were unable to score, giving Coker a 6-2 win in eight innings.
GAME 2: No. 11 Lincoln Memorial 9-0 Erskine (Final / 5 innings)
The final game of the weekend was a tall test for Erskine against nationally-ranked Lincoln Memorial. LMU scored five runs in their first three innings at the plate and scored four more runs in the fifth inning to win the game 9-0 after five innings due to the run rule. Freshmen
Aly Salois and
Maddie Ingram each tallied a hit for the Fleet.
THE PLAYER
Shi Cain hit a game-tying two-run home run in the sixth inning of Game 1 against Coker, the second time in as many days she hit a two-run blast in the sixth inning that tied the game. Cain also got Erskine level in their matchup with Carson-Newman on Friday afternoon.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine is back in action at home against USC Aiken (9-7) on Wednesday afternoon for a doubleheader starting at 1:00 p.m. in a game that was originally scheduled for last week but postponed due to inclement weather. The teams split a doubleheader in Due West in late February of last season.
