DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (2-4, 0-2 CC) was defeated by Southern Wesleyan University (1-7, 1-2 CC) by a score of 76-67 at Belk Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Fleet led for most of the first half, but were outscored by SWU, 29 to 10, in the third quarter.

Erskine has a week off before going back on the road to take on Converse University (1-7, 1-2 CC) next Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The Valkyries won both meetings last season, a 60-45 win in Spartanburg in November 2021 and a game-winning basket with 5 seconds remaining for a 69-68 win in Due West.
