BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (1-2, 0-1 CC) was defeated by King University (1-4, 1-0 CC) by a score of 71-50 in the Fleet's conference opener at the King Student Complex Center on Tuesday afternoon.

Erskine shot 31% (18-59) from the field and 28% (7-25) from the three-point line. The Fleet were 58% (7-12) from the free throw line but were undone by 12 King three-pointers.

After a long road stretch to open the season, Erskine has its home opener against Columbia College (1-4) next Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. This will be the first ever meeting between the Fleet and the Koalas.
