TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (0-1) began its 2022-23 season in the Southeast Regional Conference Challenge with a narrow loss against Coker University (1-0) by a score of 77-72 at North Greenville University's Hayes Gymnasium on Friday night. Lanyc Shuler led the Fleet with a game-high 28 points.

Erskine shot 38% (23-60) from the field and 24% (5-21) from the three-point line. The Fleet were 72% (21-29) from the free throw line and held a narrow 12 to 11 advantage in fast break points.

Erskine wraps up play in the Southeast Regional Conference Challenge at NGU against the University of North Georgia (1-0) on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The Nighthawks have won each of the last two meetings, including a win at UNG back in 2019.
