THE SERIES
North Greenville leads the all-time series 9-5-1.

THE MATCH
Facing a North Greenville side off to a perfect 7-0 start in conference play, the Fleet had their hands full from the opening kick, but defended valiantly for the first quarter of an hour. However, Romee Contreras found a breakthrough in the 17th minute to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. Erskine struggled to create shooting opportunities against a stout Crusaders defense, and NGU doubled its lead just before halftime. Erskine was much more impactful going forward in the second half and came so close to cutting the deficit in half in the 63rd minute. The Fleet won a corner kick and Kelsey Tyson delivered a superb ball over the onrushing NGU goalie. The ball dropped to Natalie Benson, who's shot was cleared off the line before falling into the path of Valerie Lara, but her shot was saved. That was the closest the Fleet came as NGU left with a 2-0 victory.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine begins a stretch of four of its final five matches being on the road with a trip to Southern Wesleyan University (2-8-1, 1-6-1 CC) on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
