THE SERIES
The all-time series is now even at four wins apiece along with a draw back in 2015. SWU's win tonight ended a brief two-match winning streak for the Fleet where they outscored the Warriors 16 to one.
THE MATCH
In what was an evenly played first half from a shots standpoint, it looked as if the match was headed for a scoreless opening half after Bobcats' goalkeeper Joshua Garvilla made five saves in the half to hold the Fleet off the board. But, a 44th-minute penalty was given to Lees-McRae, and Zachary Aversano slotted it home from the spot to put LMC ahead 1-0 at the break. Lees-McRae was in much more control of the match in the second half, and in the 56th-minute Johannes Oeksnevad doubled their lead on an assist from the goalkeeper Garvilla. In the 78th minute, another Bobcats' penalty, this time by Fletcher Dyson finished off a 3-0 win for Lees-McRae over the Fleet.
THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot by Lees-McRae 17 to 12 and the Bobcats had a narrow eight to seven advantage in shots on target.
