Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1: Only one member of the Fleet reached base as
Parker Birch made it on off a throwing error by the third baseman in the top of the first. The Bulldogs scored their only two runs in the bottom half of the first when
Hannah Houge (15-3) walked in a run and then allowed an RBI single.
GAME 2:Â Houge started once again in game two, allowing a pair of doubles in the first which yielded the Bulldogs their only run of the game. The Fleet faced being swept until a grand slam from
Tori Cooley yielded a 4-1 win.
THE PLAYER
GAME 1:Â
Hannah Houge was dealt just her third loss of the season although she struck out 11 through six innings.
Â
GAME 2:Â With 10 strikeouts in this game, Houge improved to 16-3 by allowing three hits over seven innings.
