THE SERIES
The Fleet now lead the all-time series 11-3 and have won the last two meetings between the teams.

THE MATCH
The visitors controlled possession and created a few chances in the early stages of the match, but Erskine quickly settled in and began to control the match themselves. The Fleet were eventually rewarded with an opening goal in the 30th minute when Fernando Gonzalez played a superb lobbed through ball into the path of Isaac White, who got to the ball before the North Greenville goalie and lovely chip from White found the bottom left corner of the goal as Erskine took a 1-0 lead. The Fleet continued to create chances and were stout defensively as they took that lead into the halftime break. The Crusaders took command in the second half, but Erskine was stingy in defense all afternoon and a great save from Evan Zizek from point-blank range in the 75th minute sealed a clean sheet a 1-0 win for Erskine at home as they remained perfect in the 2021 season.

MAN OF THE MATCH
Isaac White scored the lone goal of the match with a lovely chip over the NGU goalie in the 30th minute to secure a Fleet victory.

THE TEAM
Erskine outshot North Greenville 17 to nine and had seven shots on target to the Crusaders' two. The Fleet also totaled six corner kicks to NGU's three.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Fleet continue a three-match home stretch against Emmanuel College (1-3, 1-3 CC) next Sunday at 4:30 p.m.

The all-time series between the teams is even at 3-3-1, but Erskine downed the Lions 2-1 in their most recent meeting in November 2019 in Due West thanks to pair of goal in the final five minutes.
