THE SERIES
Following the split of the four-game series over the past four days, Erskine leads the all-time series against the Crusaders 35-20.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1: For the second straight gameday, Livan Reinoso launched a first inning home run, his sixth of the season to give Erskine an early 1-0 lead. Fleet starter Landon Dennis stranded a pair of runners with an inning-ending groundout in the bottom of the first and the Erskine bats went back to work. Armando Becerra and Dalton Reeves doubled to lead off the second as Erskine took a 2-0 lead. Two batters later, Dalton Boyd doubled home Reeves before Tariq Bacon followed with a two-run home run to cap a four-run second inning. But, North Greenville responded with a five-spot in the bottom of the second and took a 6-5 lead with another run in the third inning. The Fleet answered back with a monster two-out rally in the fourth inning. Reinoso got it started with a second home run of the night, a solo shot to left center field to tie the game at six. Drew Yniesta followed with a double and scored on a Dayan Reinoso RBI single as the Fleet regained the lead. But, Erskine was far from done, as Becerra kept the rally alive with a single before Reeves capped the frame with a three-run home run as the Fleet led 10-6 after four innings. The offenses quieted for a little until the Crusaders scored three times in the sixth to trim the Erskine lead to 10-9 and set up an exciting final inning. The Fleet, though, got that cushion right back as Bacon and Cody Forster went back-to-back to lead off the seventh. Reeves' picked up his fifth RBI of the night moments later to extend the Erskine lead to 13-9 going into the bottom of the seventh inning. After homering twice earlier in the game, Livan Reinoso took the mound to try to close out a Game 1 victory for the Fleet. Reinoso walked the bases loaded with two outs as the Crusaders brought the tying run to the plate. But, Reinoso induced a lineout to seal a 13-9 win for Erskine in Game 1.

GAME 2: The Fleet bats were quieted by North Greenville starter Ethan Garner, who tossed six scoreless innings. Meanwhile, the Crusaders offense exploded for 17 runs, scoring in five of the six innings they hit in. Erskine got on the board as Dayan Reinoso scored on a balk in the seventh inning, but North Greenville earned a split of the doubleheader with a 17-4 win in Game 2.

THE PLAYER
GAME 1: Livan Reinoso was 2-4 with a pair of solo home runs as he extended his season total to eight home runs on the season. Reinoso also closed the game out on the mound, pitching a scoreless seventh inning with a strikeout.

GAME 2: Cody Forster was 1-3 with a first-inning single and a stolen base for the Fleet in the loss.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine returns to Due West for its first home series of the season, against Emmanuel (4-5, 3-4 CC) with a doubleheader on Friday and Saturday at 11:00 am. Erskine leads the all-time series 10-4, but the Lions have four of the last five after the Fleet won the first nine meetings between the teams.
