GREENVILLE, S.C. – Ashton Martin of Southern Wesleyan and Hannah Houge of Erskine have picked up the weekly honors for Conference Carolinas softball.
 
Martin has been tabbed as the Player of the Week, while Houge is the Pitcher of the Week.
 
A senior from Six Mile, South Carolina, Martin hit .625 (5-for-8) last week for Southern Wesleyan. She had nine RBIs while also scoring four runs. Martin owned a slugging percentage of 1.500 and an on-base percentage of .692. Martin had three extra-base hits on two home runs and one double. One of her home runs was a grand slam.
 
A senior from Boiling Springs, South Carolina, Houge made five appearances last week for Erskine. She responded to a tough outing against Belmont Abbey to start the week by being almost unhittable the rest of the week. Houge finished the week with 50 strikeouts. Her opponents hit just .134 against her last week.
