THE SERIES
With the victory tonight, Emmanuel extends its winning streak over Erskine to 11 straight. The Lions lead the all-time series, 13-1 with the Fleet's lone win coming during the 2015-16 season with a 68-67 home victory.

THE GAME
Erskine began the game on an 9-3 run behind four baskets from four different players. But the Lions responded outscoring the Fleet 34 to 12 for the remainder of the half as Emmanuel connected on six of its 12 three-pointers. Jalen Miller began the second half with a triple of his own to trim the deficit to 13, but that was as close as Erskine got. The Lions' hot shooting continued, drilling seven of 10 three-pointers in the second half and the conference leaders pulled away late en route to a 30-point victory.

THE PLAYER
Rod Culver scored a team-high 13 points on 5-11 shooting, including 2-7 from beyond the arc. The senior also added two rebounds, two assists, and a game-high four steals for the Fleet. He joined Emandi Brooks (12 points) as the Fleet players in double figures on Wednesday.

THE TEAM
Erskine shot 24-61 (39.3%) from the field and 7-23 (30.4%) from the three-point line in the loss. The Fleet tallied 11 steals and outscored the Lions in transition 15 to 7, but Emmanuel's 13 of 22 shooting from deep proved to be the difference.

WHAT'S NEXT
Following a two-game stretch against conference-leading Emmanuel, Erskine will begin another back-to-back at home Friday and Saturday against Mount Olive (2-6, 2-6). The Fleet are 5-14 all-time against the Trojans, having lost the last ten meetings. Erskine hasn't beaten Mount Olive since a 67-66 home win in February 2016.
