THE SERIES
Since King joined Conference Carolinas in 2011, the Tornado have won nine of the 15 matches all-time. With the win tonight, King extends its winning streak to five over Erskine.

THE MATCH
Set 1: Erskine secured the set's first two points due to back to back attack errors by the Tornado. The Fleet countered with a pair of errors (service and attack) and the match was level at 2-2. After a bad set from King, the Tornado rallied off three straight kills to take a 6-3 lead, one they wouldn't give up. The Fleet were led by Reilly Bartlett who collected three kills and three digs in the first as King took the opening set, 25-17.

Set 2: Rebecca Massengill led off the second set with a kill, but the Tornado responded with the next four points. Leading 13-10, King used an 8-0 run to separate in the second. The Fleet countered with a decent run of their own, narrowing the gap to 22-18 on an 8-1 run, but a kill from King's Julie Ward gave the visitors the second set, 25-20.

Set 3: The third set became the final set when the Tornado opened up leads of 6-1 and 10-2. Two different 5-0 runs gave King leads of 15-3 and then 20-4. The Tornado took set three, 25-9.
