TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (0-13, 0-12 CC) lost to North Greenville University (8-4, 8-4 CC) 90-59 in Hayes Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

THE SERIES
The Crusaders swept the seasons series with the Fleet, after also earning a road win in Due West 61-51 on January 28. North Greenville has evened up the all-time series at 11 wins apiece with the victory tonight.
THE GAME
Carmen Chandler started the game with a three as part of her season-high 12 points. But North Greenville went on a 7-0 run to quickly take the lead and never looked back. Erskine went over six minutes without a field goal before
Anzya Cook buried a three, but not before the Crusaders' lead was into double digits. Chandler hit another triple toward the end of the quarter, but North Greenville took a 26-13 lead into the second quarter.
Mariah Corry and
Kitara Henry each scored five points in the second quarter for the Fleet, but North Greenville had a 54-28 halftime lead. Corry and
Megan Jones hit a pair of threes in the second half, but the Fleet struggled on the defensive end and lost 90-59.
THE PLAYER
Mariah Corry led the Fleet with a career-high 13 points on 5-7 shooting including 3-4 from beyond the arc. Corry also tallied a rebound and a steal in the loss.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot a season-high 11-26 (42.3%) from the three-point line and was 20-48 (41.7%) from the field. But the Fleet turned the ball over 24 times, which North Greenville converted into 34 points.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Fleet return home on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. to take on Chowan University (5-6, 5-6 CC) for senior day. Erskine swept the season series last year, but only by a combined seven points, in the teams' first two meetings ever.
