DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (0-12, 0-11 CC) fell to Emmanuel College (9-3, 7-3 CC) 70-52 in Belk Arena on Monday evening.

THE SERIES
The Lions swept the seasons series with the Fleet, defeating Erskine 89-54 in Franklin Springs on January 19.
THE GAME
In the opening frame the Lions led by as many as 10 points, but a
Megan Jones 3-pointer cut into the lead with 1:33 to play. After the first 10 minutes, the Fleet faced an eight-point deficit. Erskine won the second quarter by a point and trailed 38-31 at halftime. The Emmanuel offense reached 70 points for the eighth time this season on their way to a 70-52 victory.

THE PLAYER
Anzya Cook enjoyed a balanced night with 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the floor. Cook added three rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 16-57 (28.1%) from the field and was 8-25 (32%) from 3-point range. The Lions pulled down 11 more rebounds than the Fleet 40-29. Erskine was 12-14 (85.7%) from the free throw line.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Fleet take on North Greenville University (7-4, 7-4 CC) tomorrow evening. Tip-off against the Crusaders is set for 5 PM.
