WILSON, N.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (2-8, 2-8 CC) fell 92-83 to Barton College (4-5, 4-5 CC) in Wilson Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

THE SERIES
With the Fleet loss today, the Bulldogs extend their advantage in the all-time series to 40-14. Erskine has not won in Wilson, N.C. since the 2013-14 season when Erskine's Roderick Perkins had a game-high 26 points in an 87-72 win.

THE GAME
In the first half, the Fleet built as much as a 10 point lead when a pair of made free throws by
Jalen Canada with 1:58 to play put them ahead 37-27. Erskine took a seven-point lead into the break led by 12 points from
Justin Morton on 5-of-8 shooting from the field. In the second half, the Bulldogs outscored the Fleet by 16 points in the second half to claim the 92-83 win.
THE PLAYER
In a team-high 30 minutes,
Justin Morton led the way for the Fleet, finishing with 18 points. Morton, a freshman, also added four steals and a pair of assists.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 30-76 (39.5%) and was 9-22 (40.9%) from 3-point range. The Fleet amassed 14 points from the free-throw line, 14-19 (73.7%). Barton once again collected 48 rebounds and had more assists (20) than the Fleet (9).
WHAT'S NEXTÂ
The Fleet begin their three-game week with a road meeting at North Greenville (5-4, 5-4 CC) on Tuesday night.

Tip-off with the Crusaders is set for 7:00 PM. Erskine leads the all-time series 13-11 since the 2007-08 season, though NGU has won the previous two meetings.
