DUE WEST, S.C. – If you're a student or prospective student at Erskine College interested in gaming or Esports, the Fleet Esports program might be for you.

The Erskine Esports team allows those interested in competitive gaming the opportunity to hone their skills for online and offline tournaments. Players can work on developing their various skill sets with fellow team members or develop themselves on an individual level through live streaming.

The team recently got a new gaming room and have been led by Brandon Oberle since the program's beginning back in 2018.

Coach Oberle helped to pioneer the world of South Carolina Esports by creating some of the oldest and longest running Smash Brothers, first-person shooter and fighting game tournaments within the state. He also made a name for himself by making consistent top placings in various South Carolina fighting game tournaments and high rankings on several global leader boards.

Coach Oberle's team has captured various awards and top placings in local, regional, and global tournaments such as Dreamhack Atlanta, The Fall Classic, Smash Carolina, Big House, Olympus, Guard Break Greenville and Extinction.

The Erskine Esports program is always looking for potential additions to the team as they are poised to continue to raise the bar for collegiate esports in 2021 and beyond.

If you are interested in joining the Fleet Esports team, contact Brandon Oberle (oberle@erskine.edu).
