DUE WEST, S.C. – The Flying Fleet women's basketball team (0-8, 0-5 CC) took a weekend road trip to North Carolina to play conference rivals Chowan University (2-4, 2-1 CC) on Friday and the University of Mount Olive (5-0, 4-0 CC) on Saturday. In the first game of the road trip the Fleet traveled to Murfeesboro, NC to take on Chowan University and despite a strong showing from Sophomore Guard
Anzya Cook, the Fleet fell by a score of 45-69. In the second matchup of the weekend Erskine traveled to Mount Olive, NC to take on the Trojans of Mount Olive. The Fleet struggled from the field, shooting only 29.2% from the field.

THE PLAYER
Anzya Cook led the Fleet in scoring with 17 points and also contributed 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Cook shot 6-13 from the field and 2-6 from behind the arc.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 15-48 (31.3%) from the floor and was 4-19 (21.1%) from beyond the arc. The Fleet shot only 11-19 (57.9%) from the foul line in the game.

Shanece Mitchell led the Fleet in scoring with 14 points on 5-11 shooting and 3-5 from the free throw line. Mitchell also added 4 rebounds and 1 steal to the Fleet totals.
THE TEAM
Erskine shot 14-48 (29.2%) from the floor and was 5-17 (29.4%) from beyond the arc. The Fleet shot only 3-7 (42.9%) from the foul line in the game.
