PEMBROKE, N.C. – The Fleet traveled to UNC Pembroke for the Quarter-finals of the Conference Carolinas Women's Volleyball Tournament, trying to keep the Cinderella story alive. Prior to the match, the Fleet knocked off King University in their 2nd round matchup and swept Lees-McRae College in the first round. UNC Pembroke came into the match seeded #2 in the Western Division. Despite the hot streak and underdog mentality, the Fleet could not overcome a strong Pembroke squad. Erskine fought extremely hard, showing they would not give up even as the game seemed out of reach. The match eventually ended in a 0-3 loss for the Fleet, ending a very exciting and encouraging season.
