DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's basketball team (0-1, 0-0 CC) lost to Johnson & Wales University (0-1) in Belk Arena on Friday afternoon. The Fleet looked strong early, sharing the ball, running in transition, and playing great team defense throughout most of the first half, building a 10 point lead with about 3 minutes to go before the break. However, the Wildcats responded, putting together their own 10-0 run to leave the game tied at the half. The second half was filled with lead changes as neither team allowed the other to get more than a 5 point lead. This joust lasted up until about 2 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, as the Wildcats grabbed a 1 point lead on a jumper from Jordan McDuffie and never looked back. The Fleet ended up falling in a tight match, 60-53.
