THE SERIES
The Tornado extended their series lead to 13-2 with the victory tonight. King has now won nine consecutive meetings, and the Fleet have not beaten the Tornado since February 2016.
THE GAME
King jumped out to an early 20-2 lead in the first five minutes of the game behind five three-pointers from three King players. The Tornado drilled seven threes in the first quarter and led 25-9. Erskine responded and trimmed the deficit to twelve on an
Osha Makerson layup early in the second quarter. King cooled off from three, but the lead was never less than a dozen for the visitors. A late run in the fourth quarter extended King's lead and finished with a score of 71-48.
THE PLAYER
Anzya Cook had a team-high 13 points on 5-12 shooting and 3-6 from beyond the arc. Cook added three rebounds, two assists, and a steal for the Fleet in the loss.
Mariah Corry contributed 9 points on 3 three-pointers.
THE TEAM
The Fleet shot 29% from the field, and were 8-34 (24%) from beyond the arc. Erskine outscored King in the paint 22 to 20, but the Tornado scored 22 points off 19 Erskine turnovers.Â
WHAT'S NEXTÂ
The Fleet wrap up their brief two game home stretch as they host North Greenville (2-2, 2-2 CC)Â Thursday evening at 5:00 PM.

Erskine leads the all-time series by a narrow 11 to 9 margin, but the Crusaders have won three straight in the series.
