THE SERIES
Despite the loss, the Fleet still own a 20-7 advantage all-time versus the Valkyries since the teams began facing off annually in 2008. Converse has now won four of the last six meetings, though.

THE GAME
From the tip, the Fleet struggled to find their offense, shooting just 3-14 from the field in the first quarter. The hosts, however, found early success on their end; led by the hot hand of freshman Keyshuna Fair who connected for four first quarter 3-pointers. Fair produced 12 of the Valkyries 20 first quarter points as Converse led 20-9 after the opening 10 minutes. In the second quarter, the Fleet managed only five points and trailed 31-14 at the break. The Valkyries led 48-23 after three quarters. A strong fourth quarter effort was not enough for the Fleet to comeback who outscored the Valkyries 32-16 in the fourth.

THE PLAYER
Amaya Richardson was the only Fleet to reach double digits with a team-high 12 points. Richardson shot 4-8 from the field, had two blocks and a rebound. Three different Fleet Anzya Cook, Osha Makerson, and Carmen Chandler each had eight points each.

THE TEAM
The Fleet shot 18-66 from the field (27.3%) and 14-20 (70%) from the free-throw line. Erskine collected 14 steals to Converse's one. The Fleet bench outscored the Converse bench 20-15.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Fleet continue their four-game week when King University (3-1, 2-1 CC) visits Belk Arena tomorrow evening at 5:00 PM.

Erskine looks to halt the Tornado's eight-game winning streak. King leads 12-2 all-time with Erskine's only victories all-time coming in the 2015-16 season.
