GREENVILLE, S.C – The Erskine College women's volleyball team defeated to Bob Jones University (7-6) (26-24, 25-21, 27-25) in an exhibition match in Davis Field House on Friday.

THE SERIES
The Fleet and Bruins previously played this fall, an October 15 match in Due West, which saw the Fleet sweep the visitors. In official regular season matches, though, both teams have won one match each.
THE MATCH
The Fleet jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the opening set before the Bruins countered with a 6-1 run to lead 7-5. Both squads would trade runs in the set.
Kaile Tuisamatatele's kill kept the first set alive for the Fleet to make it 24-23. A pair of attack errors and then a kill by
Jauhna Smith closed out the opening set for the Fleet. The second set favored Erskine 25-21. Trailing 15-6, the Fleet put together a 10-0 run to not only make the set competitive, but also retake the lead.
Jauhna Smith once again closed out the set with a kill. The final set was the most level as it was forced long. The Fleet once again had to play from behind, as the Bruins used a 7-0 run to lead 10-5 early. Erskine staved off one set point once and finished off Bob Jones with a Tuisamatatele kill and an attack error.

TOP PLAYER
Kaile Tuisamatatele led the Fleet with 13.5 points. Tuisamatatele had a team-high 10 kills to go with four blocks and a service ace.

THE TEAM
The Fleet hit .228 (39 K, 13 E, 114 TA) for the game including a match best .258 (13 K, 5 E, 31 TA) in the opening set.
WHAT'S NEXTÂ
Erskine returns to Belk Arena to host the NCCAA South Regionals on November 7.
While the Regional match opponent has not been announced, the contest will be at 12 PM in Belk Arena.
